Be Involved—volunteer

The club is always happy to receive helping hands. There is a great variety of things that any member can do to help the club, to meet some very interesting people, and to have fun in the process. People with special talents, access to equipment, or useful contacts are of course very welcome, but you need no special skills to become a valuable volunteer.

Volunteering can consist of anything from helping with set up during meetings or providing a book report, to producing newsletter articles and helping out at the annual show or at other special events in the community. The executive can always use some new ideas as well. Each year, we encourage one newer member to be a New Member’s Rep on the executive. Volunteering is a great way to get involved, and a good way to repay the efforts put in by the executive in organizing and running events and courses.

Grow a little, be a volunteer!
