Presentations

Scott – The Hidden World Beneath Our Bonsai: Mycelium and Symbiosis

Explore the fascinating relationship between fungi and tree roots, and how these natural partnerships contribute to bonsai health and growth.

Scott – A Tree's Journey: From Collection to Bonsai

Follow the photographic journey of one or two of Scott's trees, from collection to their present-day development. This also introduces a new opportunity for members to share the stories behind their own trees.

Joe – The Meditative Art of Viewing Stones

An introduction to viewing stones through five questions: What are they? Where did the tradition originate? What makes a stone worth appreciating? How are these forms created? And how can we begin to enjoy and collect them?

Group Discussion

As winter approaches, it's time to turn our attention to our tropical collections. We'll have a moderated group discussion about indoor growing setups and strategies, sharing experiences, practical solutions and ideas for keeping our tropical bonsai healthy through the Manitoba winter.

Topics may include lighting, humidity, temperature, watering and the challenges of maintaining tropical trees indoors.

Group Order Distribution

We'll distribute items from the Fall 2026 Group Order during the meeting break. Please remember to collect your order.

RAFFLE PRIZES—TREES, BONSAI POTS AND MORE.

Do you have something bonsai-related you no longer need that you can donate to the club? Please bring them. Raffles are a fun way to acquire new items and also help raise funds for the club.

GUESTS ARE WELCOME!

Come to a meeting, meet new friends who share your interests and see if bonsai is for you.
